Three-Floor Elevator Prototype

Introduction

The goal in this project is to implement 3-floor elevator using Programmable Logical Controller (PLC). The elevator cabin moves up and down with help of pulley system, a counterweight, and a DC motor. The vertical bars help it to move smoothly. To stop the cabin for each floor, magnetic relays and the magnets are utilized. The magnet triggers the magnetic relay when the cabin reaches the correct position on the floor. I also design the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for displaying the elevator position and the connections between magnetic relay, PLC, DC motor, 7-segment displays etc.
